Amazon is not just catered to online shopping but this time has extended its arms for groceries. Amazon, an online e-commerce website has announced the launch of its first opened a brick-and-mortar, automatic grocery store in Seattle, Washington.
At Amazon store customers can easily buy food, cold drinks, prepared meals and other grocery items. It enables customers to make hassle free payments without standing in queues of the payment counters.
The store is equipped with technologies and sensors which detect what items customer have chosen from the shelves and automatically send a bill to their Amazon accounts if they do not replace them.
Amazon currently delivers food items and groceries to homes through its AmazonFresh service. Amazon Go is on testing mode, it is currently available for its company employees only and it is expected to open for public from next year.
Last year, Amazon opened its first physical bookstore in a Seattle shopping mall.
