Jio phone explodes while charging in J&K

In a shocking incident, a Jio phone was reportedly exploded in Kashmir while it was charging.

It was reported that this is the first time when it was reported that Reliance Jio Phone was exploded after Reliance launched its 4G phone in India.

It was believed that micro USB charging cable was allegedly melted after the explosion.

Before this, companies like Samsung, Apple iPhones, and some Chinese phone has faced the same situation.

Reports say, that the 4G featured JioPhone allegedly exploded while the handset was put on charging mode.

Reliance Retail spokesperson said in a statement, “Jio Phones are designed and manufactured with global standards, and each phone goes through stringent quality control process. The said incident has been reported to us. Our initial investigation suggests that this is a case of intentional sabotage.

It was further added, “The damage to the device seems to have been intentionally caused. The incident, as well as its timing, has been designed by vested interests to malign the brand. We will take appropriate action based on further investigations”.

Following the incident, LYF distributor has inspected the issue where it the distributor said that the battery was still working.
