The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ordered Reliance Jio Infocom to withdraw “Summer Surprise” offer.
Following the telecom regulatory recommendation, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio decided to rescind it’s three-month complimentary services.
Reliance jio stated in a notification “the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has advised Jio to withdraw the three months’ complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise.”
“Jio accepts this decision. Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator’s advice, and will be withdrawing the three months complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days,” it further added.
TRAI’s came up with this decision after amid pressure made by other telecom operators and the telecom department as the entrance of Jio in telecom sector it has changed whole the scenario across the country.
However, the last date to register for Jio’s prime membership is still April 15.
