The famous instant messaging app suffered breakdown across worldwide when you were sleeping on Wednesday night.
In an email, Whatsapp said, Earlier today, WhatsApp users in all parts of the world were unable to access WhatsApp for a few hours. We have now fixed the issue and apologize for the inconvenience”.
Whatsapp users faced the inconvenience in the countries including Canada, United States, Brazil, and India for few hours on Wednesday night.
It was reported many users faced the difficulty in sending and receiving after opening the app.
During the breakdown hours, Whatsapp issued a statement which said, “We are currently experiencing a service outage. Our team is working to restore service as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience”.
The popular messaging service is used by more than 1.2 billion people around the world and also is a major tool for communication in many countries.
Although, the service was restored after two hours of major outrage.
However, in the year 2014, WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook for $19 billion.
