A school in the US told a student to cover and put plastic over her nipple last week as the girl was not wearing a bra.

The teachers pulled her out of school and sent to a dean’s office after calling her to be a distraction among other boys student in the class.

“She told me that I needed to put a shirt under my long-sleeve shirt to try to tighten my breasts to constrict them,” the girl student told the local newspaper.

But that apparently wasn’t good enough and she was sent to the nurse’s office where she was handed four plasters and told to cover up her nipples.

The 17-year-old Lizzy Martinez who is a student at a Florida based high school decided not to wear a bra underneath her long sleeve T-Shirt.

She took to Twitter to express her sentiments, “My school basically told me that boy’s education is far more important than mine and I should be ashamed of my body.”

“Stop sexualizing my body Braden River High School,” she added.

The school staffs backed themselves by arguing that her protruding nipples were distracting other students and it is a violation of the uniform code.

Her mother Kari Knopp did not like the way school treated her daughter.

“We should not treat a girl like this because of where her fat cells decided to distribute genetically,” she said.

The school dress code does not contain any policies specific to bras.

The incident reveals about the sick mentality of the school authorities in a country where gender equality is highly prioritized.
