RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav is all set to tie a knot with Aishwarya Rai, the granddaughter of ex-Bihar CM Daroga Rai and daughter of senior RJD leader and MLA Chandrika Rai next month.
The engagement is set to take place on April 18 at Maurya hotel, Patna and wedding ceremony will take place in May.
The development was confirmed by a close aide of Lalu’s family on Thursday who said marriage has been finalized but the dates have not been confirmed.
The marriage venue is set to take place at the Veterinary grounds in Patna, the same place where Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi’s son was married following Tej Pratap’s threat.
However, the participation of Lalu is not yet confirmed. Reports say that he may file an application for parole in the coming days.
Lalu is serving a 14-year jail term in connection with multi-crore fodder scams during his stint as the Chief Minister of Bihar in the 90s when divided Jharkhand was also a part of the state.
The topic was in news as ex-Bihar CM Rabri Devi and mother of Tej Pratap wanted a ‘sanskari-bahu’ and had controversially remarked that she did not want a mall-going daughter in law for their sons.All of Lalu and Rabri’s daughters are married.
Aishwarya, 25 did her schooling in Bihar and pursued her post-grad from Delhi. She has two younger siblings- one sister studies in Bangalore and a brother who works as a lawyer at Patna High Court.
