21-Year-Old Indian Youth Shot Dead in US

A 21 Year-Old-Youth from Jalandhar has been shot dead during a robbery on Sunday night in Jackson City of Mississippi, US. The victim was identified as Sandeep Singh, who had been living in Mississippi, United States for over three years and was working at a store.

According to the Jackson Police, Sandeep was shot in a stomach during a robbery around 11 pm on Sunday night while returning back to his home after which Singh was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he died on Monday.

The suspect is described as wearing a gray hooded shirt and was armed with a 9 mm pistol, Police said.

According to Sandeep Singh’s father Balwinder, who is a head constable in the Punjab Police Department stated that the deceased and his friends were returning back to the home from their work when this incident took place. The robbers asked them for the cash and their mobile phones at the gunpoint and shoot him on his stomach while Sandeep rushed towards his car after giving the cash and his mobile phone to the robbers to hide himself from them. But, still they fired two bullets on Sandeep.

Sandeep’s body is likely to arrive home by Saturday. Apart, the police investigation is on as they have procured the CCTV footage.

This is the second robbery incident with the Indian youths in the US which took place over past two weeks
