Amazon suspends entertainment chief over sexual assault allegation

Amazon has allegedly suspended its entertainment studio head Roy Price, following the sexual harassment allegations charged by a TV producer on Thursday.

The company spokesperson Amazon Studios said, “Chief Roy Price was on leave of absence effective immediately”.

It was reported that Isa Hackett, a producer of the show “The Man in the High Castle” alleged that Roy Price made sexual comments against her.

Reports said that the incident took place two years ago, inside a cab at a company party in San Diego.

While Amazon told the reporters, “We take seriously any questions about the conduct of our employees. We expect people to set high standards for themselves”.

The producer of the show went public and reportedly alleged the company entertainment chief Roy Price against sexual harassment charges.

It was further added, “We encourage people to raise any concerns and we make it a priority to investigate and address them. Accordingly, we looked closely at this specific concern and addressed it directly with those involved”.

Craig Berman, Amazon spokesman said in a statement, “Roy Price is on leave of absence effective immediately”.

Following the incident, it was discovered that studio’s Chief Operating Officer Albert Cheng will step in as interim chief.
