Bangladesh: Landslide killed 35 people

At least 35 people were killed after a landslide occurred in the southeastern part of Bangladesh, following heavy rainfall since last three days.

Reaz Ahmed, director general of Bangladesh Disaster Management Department said, “We have information from the local administration that at least 35 people died in three districts”.

It was reported that the death toll was recorded in the two districts Rangamati and Bandarban were more affected by heavy rains since the wee hours on Monday morning.

“The recovery work is still going on”, the head of the Department of Disaster Management told the agencies.
