A 17-year-old girl mastermind of killer game “Blue Whale Challenge” was allegedly arrested in the Khabarovsk Krai region of Russia, to encourage the players to commit suicide.
Colonel Irina Volk, Russian Interior Ministry said in a statement, “This administrator was sending particular tasks – often life-threatening – to each of several dozen members of the group”.
A report says that this killer game has been linked with 130 suicide cases around the world, in which many cases have been witnessed in India as well.
It was further added, “In contrast to similar groups, teenagers in this group were blackmailed with death threats against them or their relatives for not completing the tasks”.
Prior to this, a 21-year-old man was also arrested in Moscow for inciting girls to kill themselves.
She added, “This administrator was sending particular tasks – often life-threatening – to each of several dozen members of the group”.
Authorities said that 17-year-old girl firstly played the game but did not complete the challenge to take her life, instead, she became the admin of the deadly game.
It was believed that the game targets those who are depressed in their life.
It was reported that a 14-year-old boy from Andheri, Mumbai was suspected to be the first victim of the Blue Whale Challenge.
