Christopher Wray sworn-in as New FBI chief

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has got its new chief as Christopher Wray as he sworn in as the FBI chief on Wednesday.

It was reported that Christopher Wray was picked by the US President Donald Trump.

Christopher Wray said in a statement, “It is the honour of a lifetime to serve as Director. I long ago grew to know and admire the FBI from my earliest days as a line prosecutor to my years as assistant attorney general”.

Confirming Christopher Wray as the FBI new chief Senate replaced James Comey to Wray n a 92-5 vote.

James Comey was earlier fired by US President Donald Trump in May.

Adding further to this he said, “I am excited, humbled, and grateful, therefore, to have this chance to work side-by-side again with these fine professionals for the good of the country and the cause of justice”.
