Cyber attack hits globally

As per the recent reports, it has been discovered that new wave of cyber attacks has reportedly disrupted computers at Russia’s biggest oil company, Ukrainian banks, and multinational firms.

It was said that a similar virus ransomware has been discovered and is called as “Petya”.

Kevin Johnson, chief executive of cyber-security firm Secure Ideas said, “Cyber-attacks can simply destroy us”.

Adding further to this he said, “Companies are just not doing what they are supposed to do to fix the problem”.

Following this, it was reported that Jawaharlal Nehru Port Terminal in Mumbai was disrupted.

A senior JNPT official told the media, “We have been informed that the operations at GTI have come to a standstill because their systems are down (due to the malware attack). They are trying to work manually”.
