Egypt blast: Explosion killed two police in Northern Sinai

According to the media report, Two policemen were killed and another nine-person were reportedly injured in a  blast which took place north of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.

It was reported that an improvised explosive device targeted the armored vehicle of Police at Al-Safa district of Arish city in North Sinai on Saturday.

MENA quoted,”Security measures have been intensified around the explosion while a bomb disposal team is combing the area to make sure it is free of explosive devices”.

It was believed that the explosion occurred hours after interior ministry told police has killed 14 terrorists in the cross-fire in Ismailia city.

On the other hand, Egyptian president said in a statement, “The forces of extremism attempt to undermine stability and security of the country.
