French Singer Johnny Hallyday passes away

The veteran French rock star Johnny Hallyday allegedly died after battling from lung cancer.

It was reported that the French Singer Johnny Hallyday was suffering from cancer for several months.

The rock star died at the age of 74.

French President Emmanuel Macron’s office said in a statement, “He brought a part of America into our national pantheon”.

It was learned that the veteran singer was credited with the sales of more than 100 million albums over the decades.

Laeticia Hallyday, French Singer’s wife said, “Johnny Hallyday has left us. I write these words without believing them. But yet, it’s true. My man is no longer with us”.

Reports said that the French singer’s career lasted for more than 50 years.

It was discovered that the French rockstar had a huge following in France, wherein 100 million records were sold in his decades-long career.

Celine Dion, Canadian singer moved to Twitter and shared her condolence where she wrote, “I’m very sad to hear the news that Johnny Hallyday passed away. He was a giant in show business…a true icon! My thoughts go out to his family, his loved ones, and to the millions of fans who adored him for many decades.He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.- Céline..”
