Pakistan Court issues arrest warrant against Former PM Nawaz Sharif

As per the recent reports, a Pakistani court has issued a bailable warrant against the Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in connection with two corruption case on Thursday.

It was reported that the ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is currently in London with his wife Kalsum as she undergoes cancer treatment

The Supreme Court has reportedly sacked Nawaz Sharif after going through the investigation into corruption allegations against his family.

It was learned that the Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif was reportedly sacked before completing a full term.

Zafir Khan, Former PM Nawaz Sharif’s Defence lawyer said in a statement, “The accountability court issued bailable warrants for the former prime minister in two cases of alleged corruption today and adjourned (the) hearing until November 3”.

The arrest came after the leak of Panama Papers last year as it discovered that the PM Nawaz Sharif had more assets beyond the sources of income.

Riaz Pirzada, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination said, “We don’t object to Nawaz’s leadership but we are concerned how the party will win the next elections”.

Nawaz Sharif’s wife Kulsoom won the parliamentary seat in the by-election which took place in Lahore last month.
