Panama Papers Case: Nawaz Sharif pronounced guilty, steps down as PM

In a recent move, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was pronounced guilty by the Pakistan Supreme Court in connection with the Panama Papers Case.

It was reported that Sharif family was accused of having more assets beyond the sources of income.

Soon after the Pakistan Supreme Court announced their judgment Nawaz Sharif allegedly resigns from his post.

In a statement, Judge Ejaz Afzal Khan said, “He is no more eligible to be an honest member of the Parliament, and he ceases to be holding the office of prime minister”.

It was learnt that Sharif will vacate the prime minister’s residence by Friday evening.
