Quebec City: 5 died and several injured in an opened fire in Canada’s Mosque

At least five people were reportedly found dead and several people were injured after the gunmen opened fire in a mosque in Canada’s Quebec City which took place on Sunday night.

According to the officials, the incident took place around 8 pm where dozens of people have come to worship in the mosque for the evening prayers.

Mohamed Yangui, President of the mosque who was not present in the mosque when the incident occurred said, “Why is this happening here? This is barbaric”.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed condolence by saying, “Tonight, Canadians grieve for those killed in a cowardly attack on a mosque in Quebec City. My thoughts are with victims and their families”.

However, police have arrested two suspects but didn’t provide any information on the attack.
