As per the recent reports, Lee Jae-Yong, the vice-chairman of Samsung was pronounced guilty in connection with offering bribes to the country’s former president Park Geun-Hye.
It was observed that the Lee Jae-Yong was also found guilty hiding assets overseas, perjury and embezzlement.
Lee Jin-dong, Presiding judge of Seoul Central District Court said in a statement, “The essence of the case is the close links between political power and economic power”.
It was reported that earlier the bench of judges has termed 12-year prison against the Samsung heir Lee Jae-Yong.
Although, in his defense, Lee has denied all the allegations against him.
