Veteran US journalist Mark Halperin has sexually harassed a woman when he was in a powerful position at ABC News.

It was reported that 52-year-old was associated with an ABC News as a political director for MSNBC and Bloomberg Television.

While interacting with the media, Halperin said in a statement, “During this period, I did pursue relationships with women that I worked with, including some junior to me”.

Adding further to this he said, “I now understand from these accounts that my behavior was inappropriate and caused others pain. For that, I am deeply sorry and I apologize. Under the circumstances, I’m going to take a step back from my day-to-day work while I properly deal with this situation”.

Currently, Mark Halperin works as an analyst for NBC News, where he makes frequent appearances on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and is featured in Showtime’s “The Circus”.

Some of the women have also shared her unfortunate occurrence with the media.

Following this, the Veteran journalist Mark Halperin is now apologizing for his “inappropriate” behavior, after five women sexually reported a case against him.

However, ABC and NBC News have still not commented on the matter.
