In yet another hate crime incident, an Indian American cab driver was allegedly stabbed to death by a 19-year-old boy.
The incident took place in Bonner County in Idaho this week, an official said.
The victim was later identified as 22-year-old Gagandeep Singh, who moved to Spokane to pursue his software engineering from Gonzaga University.
It was reported that Gagandeep Singh was attacked by the passenger whom he picked from Spokane International Airport.
“My nephew became a victim of racial hatred. As the Trump government is now showing exit doors to the Asians due to few job opportunities, Indians and Asians as a whole are becoming the victims of racial hatred”.
The accused was identified as Jacob Coleman by the police officials.
Reacting to the incident, Singh’s older brother Balgit said, “He was only 22-years-old. He left us too soon, way too soon. We had a lot of things planned to be in a family. We had a lot of things planned out. I think God knows best. He left too soon”.
Following this, Jacob Coleman has confessed his crime and told the police officials that he allegedly committed the crime as he was very upset as he didn’t get admission to Spokane-based Gongaza University.
Although, Coleman has been sent to the Bonner County jail where Courthouse judge has denied his bail petitions following the incident.
However, the accused was charged with first-degree murder.
