In a major setback, The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has scrapped construction plans of 17 housing projects owned by prominent realty developers including Jaypee Infratech, Orris Group, Gaursons, VGA Developers and Ajnara Group.
Among, 17 group housing projects, 12 are of Jaypee Infratech, two belong to Gaursons and one each is of Ajnara, Orris and VGA Developers.
With this bold step taken by YEIDA, 1000’s home buyers will get affected.
Earlier, on April 15, YEIDA had also cancelled five housing projects of Jaypee Infratech in Sports City East as the builder had allegedly sold properties illegally.
The chief executive officer of YEIDA Arun Vir Singh said “We have cancelled the building maps of 12 more housing projects that belong to major builders, which includes Jaypee Infratech, Orris Group, VGA Developers, Gaursons India and Ajnara India Ltd. as they had not got the map approved within specific time. The builders have also sold out flats to home buyers without getting requisite approvals.”
