6-year-old girl killed in a cease fire violation by Pakistan

A 6-year-old girl and Indian soldier reportedly lost their lives in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Balakote sector of Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.

The victim was identified as Sajida Kafeel (6), Naik Muddasar Ahmed, who were killed in Poonch after Pakistan allegedly started firing and targeting the areas where civilians reside.

It was reported that the 37-year-old Indian soldier Naik Muddasar Ahmed, belongs to the Dutch village of Tral, Kashmir.

Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said in a statement, “Pakistan, initiating the attack, resorted to the unprovoked targeting of the Indian positions on the LoC in Bhimber Gali sector of Jammu and Kashmir”.

The unprovoked firing of the heavy machine guns was started by the Pakistani troops on Monday morning.
