The National passenger carrier Air India has decided to stop serving non-vegetarian meals for the domestic economy class flights.
Air India spokesperson GP Rao said in its statement, “Air India has taken a conscious decision not to have non-vegetarian meals in economy class on its domestic flights”.
It was reported that the national carrier has stopped the non-veg meal in all the economy class flights with immediate effect.
It was believed that this step was taken up the company after facing a debt of more than Rs 55,000 crore.
However, in the business and first class the non-veg food will still be served to the passengers.
