Once again, it’s a colorful Holi for the BJP leader Manohar Parrikar who resigned as Defence Minister, takes oath as Chief Minister of Goa for the fourth time.
BJP president Amit Shah and other Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Venkaiah Naidu were also present at the swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday evening.
Since the start of the campaign in the state, BJP has announced if it wins the elections, then the government in Goa will be taken charge by the Manohar Parrikar.
While interacting with the media on his return Parrikar said, “Regional parties have taken the lead to form this government and have requested me to lead them by resigning as defence minister”.
Parrikar was sworn in as Chief Minister of Goa from October 24, 2000 to February 27, 2002. Later, Manohar Parrikar was re-elected Goa’s Chief Minister in June 2002 before his government was reduced to a minority in 2005.
