One of the main suspects in Kanpur train accident which took place in November 2016 has been arrested by Nepal Police from Tribhuvan International Airport.
Main suspect who has been arrested identified as Samshul Hoda. Police also arrested three other criminals along with Hooda, namely Brij Kishor Giri, Ashish Singh and Umesh Kumar Kurmi.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Pashupati Upadhyaya, informed about the detention of Hoda and other criminals. He said “Hoda has been detained from the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday”.
He added “We have heard that Hoda is wanted in a railway accident that took place in Kanpur last year killing 150 people.”
“Nepal Police will also work in close coordination with the Indian Police for Hoda’s alleged involvement in criminal activities in India.”
It is also suspected that the ISI is playing main role in all recent train accidents. However, regarding this there is no clear information.
