In a recent act of vigilantism, it was discovered that a group of people was allegedly attacked by other passengers a train from Delhi to Mathura, which resulted in the death of one.
The victim was identified as Junaid, who hails from Ballabhgarh district of Haryana.
Junaid boarded the Mathura-bound Ghaziabad-Delhi-Mathura train where he along with two brothers: Hashim and Shaqir were returning back to their home following the Eid shopping in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar on Thursday.
A Delhi Police official said in a statement, “As they were returning home, they had an argument over meat with a group of co-passengers, which took an ugly turn and they were attacked with a knife. The injured were rushed to the hospital where one person died”.
When the train reached the Okhla station some new passengers boarded the train, where they have an argument with Junaid and his brothers and accused them of carrying beef, Police said.
The argument then resulted in the Junaid’s death.
However, Junaid’s postmortem was later conducted at the civil hospital in Haryana’s Palwal. On the other hand, Junaid’s brothers were still reported critical.
