Mishap averted as two local spot GoAir aircraft engine on fire in Delhi’s Dwarka

A major mishap was averted, credit goes to group of  locals , who spotted the GoAir aircraft engine on fire and immediately informed to PCR, following their information flight has made an emergency landing.

A Bengaluru-bound Go Air flight – G8 557 carrying 193 passengers on board had departed for Bengaluru at 7.28 pm from the IGI Airport.

According to DNA report incident took place around 7.40 pm, when Delhi Police alerted the Airport Operations Control Centre and to the Air Traffic Control and informed that two persons saw the engine of an aircraft on fire, which was flying over Dwarka in southwest Delhi.

Immediately, a message was conveyed to flight captain and was asked to return. The Later flight was made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport safely with all the passengers and crew members.
