Mumbai: Woman delivers baby girl in local train

In a bizarre incident, a 26-year-old woman reportedly delivered a baby girl in Mumbai’s Dadar Station on Monday night.

It was reported that the incident took place on Monday night where a 26-year-old Salma Shaikh delivered a baby girl on the platform number 3 of Mumbai’s Dadar Station.

The incident took place at around 10:17 pm on Monday.

Officials said that the woman was attended by Dr. Prajwalit, a female GRP officer and few others members.

After the delivery, the woman and newborn were immediately shifted to a nearby KEM hospital, where both mother and child is in stable condition.

It was reported that the mother was attended by a doctor from ‘One Rupee Clinic’ which is opened on the station to help commuters to provide medical emergencies.

Reports says the local train was going from CST and heading towards Kalyan at the platform number 3 when the woman gave birth to a baby.
