President of India conveys his sympathy to the family members of the deceased

In Uttar Pradesh, not less than 100 passengers were killed and more than 100 harmed when 14 coaches of the Indore-Patna Express derailed near Pukhrayan in Kanpur today.

The heartbreaking mishap occurred at around 3am close Pukhrayan, around 100 km from Kanpur when the travellers were sleeping.

President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday expressed his sympathy for the loss of lives as Indore-Patna Express ran out of track which has killed more than 100 lives near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Giving his message to Shri Ram Naik, Uttar Pradesh Governor, President said : “I am sad to hear about the accident in which many have lost their lives and number of persons are injured when Indore-Patna Express ran off the tracks near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh”.

He further continued, “I am sure that state government is providing all possible assistance to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones as well as medical aid to the injured”.

While giving his message to the family members of the deceased he said, “I pray to the almighty to give them the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss. I wish speedy recovery to the injured persons”.
