Three army personnel, civilian killed in Kashmir’s Shopian

Three army men and one woman were killed after an army convoy was attacked by the terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir in the wee hours on Thursday.

It was reported that 44 Rashtriya Rifles was returning from an anti-terror operation in Shopian’s Matrigam when terrorists attacked the army vehicles in which three soldiers and one woman were killed in the cross-fire.

In a statement, a police official told the media, “The attack resulted in injuries to six army personnel, including two officers, of whom three succumbed to their injuries”.

In the crossfire, Taja Begum(civilian) was hit by the bullet inside her home when the attack was going on.

While the official statement of police reads,“While returning from Kungnoo, the CASO party was attacked by unknown militants at Mulu Chitragam at about 2:00 am resulting in injuries to six army personnel including two officers of whom three succumbed to their injuries”.
