Uttarakhand accident: Pilgrims killed in Uttarkashi Bus accident, PM Modi announces ex gratia of Rs two lakh

In a recent development, more than 24 pilgrims lost their lives and 8 others were reported injured after a bus fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand on Tuesday night.

It was reported that the incident took place near Nalupani in Uttarkashi district when a bus carrying pilgrims was returning from the Gangotri shrine.

As per the reports, more than Twenty-one pilgrims who hails from Madhya Pradesh were reportedly killed after a bus full of pilgrims fell into the Bhagirathi river near Nalupani in Uttarkashi district.

Modi Tweeted

Prime Minister Narendra Modi moved to twitter to show his condolence over the matter and posted, “My prayers and solidarity with those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate bus accident in Uttarkashi. May the injured recover soon”.

 

Announces Ex-gratia 

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the victims of the families who lost their lives in the bus accident which occurred on Tuesday late night.

PM, Modi also authorized Rs 50,000 from PM National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for those who are severely injured in the accident.
