Bollywood’s khiladi number one Akshay Kumar is known for his fearlessness and actions he performed on big screen says girls should hit back if touched inappropriately by anyone and run but do not freeze.
Akshay Kumar, who is also a martial artist, spoke about the importance of martial arts for women and girls in the contemporary scenario.
The 49-year-old, Bollywood actor said “In our country, I believe, girls should not learn martial arts or self-defence because I feel they should be free to walk anywhere, anytime, anyplace. But unfortunately, because of some dirty people, they have to learn self-defence.”
He further stated “What happens in life — How does a guy succeed in harassing a girl, to get her under control? Because a woman or a girl freezes. She doesn’t know when a man touches her, she doesn’t know what to do. So don’t ever freeze, just shout… That is the biggest thing, just shout loudly and run, but don’t freeze.”
Khiladi Kumar came up with this strong message while promoting his forthcoming film “Naam Shabana” which is an action spy-thriller film in Delhi University’s Gargi College for women on Monday.
Manoj Bajpayee and Taapsee Pannu and producer Neeraj Pandey was also present at the event.
