B-Town singer Sonu Nigam roars against “forced religiousness”

It seems like the Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam has brought a deep trouble for himself after posting a series of tweets on a controversial topic of the country.

In his latest series of tweets, the popular singer has shown his frustration after he woke up from Azaan in the morning being his alarm clock.

According to the singer, he is not a Muslim and has to get up each morning by the sound of Azaan which is causing a disturbance in his sleep.

The Bollywood singer who spread the magic with his winsome voice, but today morning has lost many fans by uttering contentious speech against the azaan or a prayer performed in the mosques.

The singer moved to the social networking site Twitter to express his thought of mind.

He posted by saying, “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India”.

Moving forward to the Indian religious sentiments he also criticizes the use of loudspeakers in temple and Gurudwara by tweeting, “I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don’t follow the religion. Why then..? Honest? True?”

On the other hand, Vivek Agnihotri reacted to his series of a tweet by posting, “I am willing to sponsor a campaign against illegal blaring of Azaan and other prayers on loudspeakers. Suggest a creative hashtag.”
