Bollywood director Kundan Shah allegedly died following a heart attack at his Mumbai residence on Saturday morning.
The veteran director was 69.
It was reported that he allegedly died at 5 am on Saturday in his sleep of a heart attack.
Following the incident, His daughter confirmed the news to the media.
While remembering the iconic Director, Director Subash Ghai moved to twitter and wrote, “Goodbye Kundan Shah. We all @FTIIOfficial @Whistling_Woods shall remember u for your great films with us n in history Indian cinema”
The veteran director was known for his ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ (1983) directed movie which got amid success at the box office.
It was reported that ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ made Shah earned a National Film Award – Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director.
Kundan Shah has studied direction at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune.
Kundan Shah has directed many movies which include ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ (1983), ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ (1993) and TV shows like ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’ (1988), ‘Nukkad’ (1986).
His last movie ‘P se PM Tak’ was released in the year 2014.
