TRAI: Telecom companies will pay Rs 5 Lakh for call drop

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued strict guidelines over call drops to all the telecom companies by quoting Rs 10 lakh would be fine if don’t meet the guidelines.

The revised regulations of Quality of Services would be effective from October 1.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said in its statement, “Graded financial disincentives in case service providers fail to meet the DCR (drop all rates) benchmarks have been introduced, in which amount payable may depend upon the extent of deviation from the benchmarks”.

If the telecom operators failed to meet the benchmark then the service provider may be fined up to Rs 5 lakh according to latest guidelines issued by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
